WSIB & Workplace Injury Physiotherapy in Woodbridge
If you were hurt at work and have a WSIB claim, StrengthFlow can treat your injury and help you plan a safe return to the physical demands of your job. Johnny Chaya, Registered Physiotherapist, sees you one-on-one at every visit.

Before your first visit
- After a workplace injury, you and your employer must report it to WSIB. WSIB then registers your claim and sends you a claim number.
- You'll need your WSIB claim number before your first visit.
- A claim number does not mean your claim is approved. Until WSIB makes a decision, your claim is "pending".
- We check your claim with WSIB, including which part of your body is covered. WSIB calls this your "zone of injury".
- If one part of your body was injured, treatment can usually start right away, even while your claim is pending.
- If more than one part of your body was injured, or you need treatment beyond the first four weeks, WSIB has to approve it first. We'll tell you if that applies to you.
You can check the status of your claim by calling WSIB at 1-800-387-0750.
Haven't reported your injury yet? Report it to your employer and to WSIB.
WSIB's musculoskeletal program of care
Many sprains, strains and similar injuries are treated under WSIB's musculoskeletal program of care. It is an eight-week program made up of two four-week blocks, for people who start within eight weeks of their workplace injury. We'll tell you at your first visit whether it applies to you.
What to bring to your first visit
- Photo ID
- Your WSIB claim number
- Your case manager's or nurse consultant's name and contact details
- Any paperwork from your employer or WSIB
Common workplace injuries
- Back strain from lifting
- Shoulder injuries from reaching, lifting or overhead work
- Neck pain from repetitive or desk work
- Knee and ankle sprains from slips, trips and falls
- Wrist and hand pain from repetitive tasks

Return-to-work planning
Your treatment is built around what your job asks of your body, like lifting, standing, climbing or reaching. With your consent, we keep WSIB and your employer updated on what you can safely do as you recover, so modified duties or a gradual return to work can be planned.
Cost and coverage
We bill WSIB directly for covered treatment, under WSIB's fee schedule, not our private-pay price list. If WSIB doesn't cover your treatment, we'll talk with you about payment, including whether you have extended health coverage, before any further visits.
The clinic is on the ground floor, with a step-free entrance, automatic doors and accessible parking.
